Micro$oft aligns itself with Disney for world dominance - MickeyMouseSoft is finally here (almost)

In a suprise move by MickeymouseSoft, the ill-fated and very delayed new version of M$Windoze gets a marketing boost - in the form of a quick product namechange to … Windows Vista.
Obviously closely modelled on the Walt Disney company - aka Buena Vista (Good to See).

With it’s new user interface (.net/active-x/web-based) being touted as the only selling point for the next generation of Windows, Microsoft move a little closer to actually launching the product, by giving it an “official” name (formerly codenamed Longhorn).

In true corporate-spin style, Thursday 21st july, Bill Gates evil-empire tipped off journalists and enthusiast sites of an impending major Longhorn-related announcement due Friday morning.
The life-or-death breakthrough was just official confirmation that the name “Windows:Vista” recently mentioned at a sales conference in Atlanta was in fact the actual product nomclature.

Its an in-joke apparantly - with vista meaning sight - as we’ve still not seen sight of the 2 year late beta-release,

Personally it’s more likely to be a thinly veiled acronym for the only things that will take full advantage of the new o/s …
