Tonight is the innaugural packet exchange point beers with peers function - a fantastic tradition of business card swapping and drinking started a couple of years ago as a method to drum up both trade and customer co-operation by Xchange Point Europe who were recently purchased by PX

So despite both sides hating it, they are now affectionately known by the aggregation of their initials - PXPE

Hopefully full details of the merger/buy-out and the effect it will have on :
Peering - XPE had a much better concept of Peering than PX who appear to have bolted it on the Proximity offerings as it sounded cool
Point-2-Point - both companies have built a business out of selling connections between buildings using different technologies.
Transit PX are best known as offering Level3 transit XPE have clients who are Level3 resellers - (MNet, NEOS etc) so how that will work shoudl be interesting.

The usual suspects will be in attendance … in no particular order
Mark Castle (Secura)
Dennis Jewth (XPE)
Ed Butler (RapidSwitch)
Chris Wilkie (Netrino)
Alex Cruz (Independant)
Michael Tobin (Interhouse)
Cameron Gray (Netegral)
Peter Walker (Independant)
Jay Coley (NTT Verio)
Neil Bowen (Spanktastic)
Imraan Sathir (Burstfire)
and many many more …
links & photos will be added later ;)
